A Little Bit About Us

      Our first meeting happened in May of 2018 as a result of a few factors. First and foremost, the Northshore deserved a consistent and effective real estate investors meet up. Most investors in our area were forced to travel nearly an hour plus to learn and network at our meet ups in the region. Our founder, Courtney Fricke, believed that the Northshore was a viable enough market to handle a meet up and that there were enough people investing or wanting to invest to sustain an effective meeting. Another reason the REIA started was because it was difficult to attend some of the local meet ups without being pitched a course or a coaching program. The desire to bring valuable content without the up sell and to encourage action alongside of the education provided have been some of our core values from day one. 

       Northshore Real Estate Investors Association (REIA) is a professional meeting of local real estate investors for networking and educational purposes. Thankfully, as of January 2019 these meetings are free thanks to local sponsors. This was one of our goals from the very beginning and we are happy to see it coming to fruition. Do we think it unfair to charge a membership? No, we do not and we have had a handful of previous members say that they didn't mind paying for a membership. Yet we know that real estate education industry and the internet are saturated with two things: GURUS selling you something and FREE CONTENT. We understand that is a wide generalization as the industry and internet contain many other things but those two are easily at the top due to the volume that they amass. So in response to that, we know that people who want to learn about investing in real estate typically turn to those two options. They could turn to a Guru selling a course or program or they can be self-taught from all of the free content online.

      Our meet ups were started to help people along their journeys. Wherever you find yourself, we would like to come along side you to further help you in the education department with the resources we provide and the speakers that we bring in. These speakers are usually a make up of local or regional professionals or experienced investors that are invited to share. We would also like to energize your investing goals by creating a community where networking flourishes and helps produce action. We find that it can be easy to gather information and stockpile it without ever having to take action. For some, analysis paralysis is something that stalls them from ever working towards their goals.

Every Second Tuesday of the month you will find us meeting at the conference room at the We Stay Suites in Covington, LA.

You're welcome to arrive a little early to network before the meeting starts. Our meetings typically start at 6:30PM but the doors open for 6:00PM. These meetings are now FREE to attend thanks to our local sponsors!
